The first day allows you to build confidence on Class III rapids (medium waves but great for all travelers over 12 years of age), and after lunch at our Pacuare River Tent Camp, you will have plenty of time to explore the area or relax in the hammocks before dinner. On the second day we take a hike to the Indigenous Reserve, where you can see first-hand the authentic Costa Rican way of life. The final day takes you back to our Exploration Center with more exciting Class IV whitewater rapids.

First Day:

Morning: Early a.m. pickup at your hotel in San Jose, Arenal or Puerto Viejo. Breakfast at our Exploration Center. Transport to Tortuguero.
Afternoon: Check in & Tour of Town

Second Day:

Morning: Naturalist Canoe Tour at 5:30 AM Breakfast.
Afternoon: On your own. We recommend you a hike to Cerro Tortuguero at $40 and 5 hours over and back.

Third Day:

Morning: Very early pick up at 4:50 AM. Boat ride out and transport to our Exploration Center. Day rafting trip with lunch. Luggage stored securely while you are on the river.
